Kool & the Gang was founded in the late 1960s and was considered the quintessential funk and dance band of the 1970s and 1980s. Their songs repeatedly topped the charts in the United States and around the world. Their concert performances are truly amazing, and songs like Get down on it, the anthem Celebration, Ladies Night, Fresh, Too Hot, etc., still transmit the same energy and the same urge to dance as when they were first written.
