The Dutch trumpet player Eric Vloeimans does not feel limited as a composer to a single style, and he has managed to create a personal, harmonic and evocative language. His group, Gatecrash, has earned a reputation as one of the most skilled European ensembles at combining jazz and pop. Their music ranges from easy listening and lounge music to energetic rhythms and curious beats inspired by Zappa.
The Dutch Jazz Weekend is organized by the Carlos de Amberes Foundation with the participation of: Veranos de la Villa (Summers in the City) Festival, the Dutch Fund for the Performing Arts, the Embassy of the Netherlands, the Music Center for the Netherlands (MCN), Unicaja, Kalam, Jazz Círculo, Sala Clamores and Escuela de Música Creativa.
