Accessibility Guidelines

Various measures have been taken to make the website more accessible, such as:

  • Logical presentation order of elements on screen.
  • Simplified browsing system without dropdown menus.
  • Descriptive text of images.
  • Keyboard access to main options.

Keyboard Short-cuts

Most browsers support going directly to specific links pressing certain key combinations (access keys) defined on the website.

For example, this works in Windows by pressing  Alt + access key (in Internet Explorer you also need to press the intro key); in Macintosh, it works by pressing  Ctrl+ access key.

The following access keys are available on our portal:

  • 0  Accessibility
  • 1   Home page
  • 2   Skip navigation
  • 3   Web map
  • 4   Contact
  • 6   Up

Links

Most links whose text does not completely describe the destination have title attributes with a clarification.

When possible, the links are written so that they have meaning out of context. Some browsers (such as JAWS, Home Page Reader, Lynx, and Opera) can extract the list of links from the current page and enable the user to browse from this list. Bearing this in mind the links are not duplicated; if they are, it is because they access the same content.

There are no javascript pseudo-links: All links can be followed in any browser, even if javascript has been disabled.
