'The objective of Madrid Emprende, the Economic Development Agency for Madrid, is to develop municipal policies relating to economic promotion in the city of Madrid, with a priority focus on achieving a balance in the region through action in the spheres of business infrastructure, the promotion of innovation, the encouragement of competitiveness and entrepreneurial spirit in SMEs, the development of European projects, the internationalisation of the economy of Madrid, the analysis of the Madrid economy and, in general, through all actions that may be favourable to the economic development and socio-economic rebalancing of the city.'
