The city of Madrid works hard to create the best conditions for businesses within an active developmental model characterized by a philosophy of support to business iniciative and a strategy that looks to territorial cohesion and strengthening the backbone of urban fibers, as well as urban quality and economic progressiveness. The Economic Development Agency Madrid Emprende, was created to motivate and promote the development of our city’s economy and its productive fibers through specific actions in four directions: competiveness of small and midsize companies support of training initiatives, improvment of business infrastructures and the attraction and retention of foreign investment. Through diverse actions in cooperation with other institutions, Madrid Emprende works toward its objective of making Madrid an attractive city for the investor and to situate it among a select group of global cities such as London, Paris, or New York.
