Madrid has highly qualified, creative and motivated people in its working force. However, this does not in itself imply high salaries. Median wages are reduced when compared to the majority of European countries.

The headquarters of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) which is the principal Public Research Organization is in  Madrid, and 30% of Spanish research investigators work in the capital.  Madrid and its region boasts 4.5 million sq.mts. that are devoted to technological parks and Science and Technology clusters.

The principal Telecommunications and Technological computer firms of the world are already imbedded in Madrid; in fact, billing by providers of telecommunications equiptment that work in our city account for 80% of the total in Spain.  Without a doubt, Madrid is the national leader in technological innovation.
