2 September is a date that many fans of indie-rock will have circled in their diary. Because on that date, they will be able to enjoy Going, Going…, the ninth studio album by the English group The Wedding Present. A special project featuring 20 songs, each of which is linked with a short film.
The album comes in a number of different formats: CD + DVD and DVD + LP (standard or deluxe edition).
The veteran British band The Wedding Present debuted with a legendary album, George Best, (1987), and for many their finest moment came with the release of Seamonsters (1991), their second collaboration with Steve Albini, spectacularly fusing English indie and American grunge that was so popular back then.
The group fronted by David Gedge (City of Leeds, UK, 1960) are returning following their performance last May at the Tomavistas Festival.
