The Royal Russian Ballet is coming to Madrid to offer just two performances of the ballet par excellence: Swan Lake, a production with over 40 dancers on stage, a splendid choreography and a carefully designed romantic atmosphere.
Created by Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky and premièred at the Bolshoi Theatre in 1877, it is a romantic fable that has gone down in the history of universal dance. Acclaimed throughout the world, its four acts combine love, magic and the delicate scores of the Russian composer.
The story tells of Prince Siegfried and Princess Odette falling in love, whereby Odette is under an evil spell that turns her into a swan by day. Only the love of somebody who has never loved before can break the spell forever. This is a tale that delves into the eternal fight between god and evil and the duality of the human being.
