The National Auditorium of Music will be filled with the sounds of jazz, courtesy of acclaimed guitarist Pat Metheny. The Pat Metheny Unity Band put bebop, hard bop and traditional jazz into consonant coexistence.
Pat Metheny (Missouri, USA, 1954) is deemed as one of the best jazz guitarists. Through his lengthy career, he’s come to be a musician with an easily distinguishable character, powerful and creative. No-one can doubt that he’s taken jazz to the next level.
The National Auditorium of Music is honoured to host a gig by the Metheny Unity Band, a close-knit group of musicians that once included saxophonist Chris Potter. This time, they’ll be pianist Gwilym Simcock, double bassist Linda Oh and drummer Antonio Sánchez.
