The celebration of 20 years since one of your best known albums is always a good opportunity to revive it and in this series of concerts, Moseley Shoals will be a special feature in the show. However, some of the group’s most legendary songs will not be forgotten in a concert that pays tribute to the best of the band.
The creation of the group was more a question of luck than deliberate; at the end of the 1990s, two bands from the city of Birmingham broke up: The Boys and Fanatics. From both groups, there were musicians who still felt a great passion for music and they got together in the Ocean Colour Scene project. Steve Cradock, Simon Fowler, Oscar Harrison and Damon Minchella were those who finally made up this great band.
With the explosion of Britpop, Ocean Colour Scene’s music was given the push it needed to become a hit in the UK and it did not take them long to expand internationally and become a mass phenomenon.
Their second album and absolute consolidation was a determining factor in this aspect: Moseley Shoals served to establish them and now they will pay tribute to it in this concert marking 20 years since the release of the album.
