Madrid residents and visitors will both be able to see a traditional Nativity set at the Patio de Operaciones of the Cibeles Palace during the Christmas season.
The Nativity set at Cibeles is the work of José Luis Mayo, with the collaboration of the Association of Nativity Set Makers from Madrid. It illustrates well-known classical scenes – the Annunciation, the barn, Herod and his guard –, along with lesser-known stories from the Bible, such as the preparations of the Magi before being led to Jesus by the Star of Bethlehem.
