Singer, songwriter and producer, at the tender age of just six his teacher already felt he had a possible future in the world of music. Aged 12, he picked up his first guitar and formed a group with his classmates, playing songs by the legendary rock music group Led Zeppelin.
For a short period of time, he was the lead vocalist (although not officially) with the band Van Halen, having been invited to sing with the group after the legendary Sammy Hagar left in 1996. Malloy accepted and recorded a couple of demos singing the group's classic tracks. When he saw the former vocalist from Van Halen, David Lee Roth, singing once again with the band officially on an MTV channel, Mitch Malloy, who was completely unaware of this, took it quite badly. After thinking it over, he sent a letter to the management of Van Halen letting them know that he would be leaving the band.
