As part of the 34th Autumn to Spring Festival, the French choreographer, Boris Charmatz, premières Manger in Spain, a staging that explores the role that the mouth and the act of eating in dance and performance.
Charmatz uses one of the most vital processes of the human being to generate a show charged with symbols and art. The French author uses the hands, mouth and voice as pieces of a puzzle with sexual connotations. The relationship between them and the correlation between food and sex is also examined in depth.
All of this forms a one-hour show in which food acts as the driving force of a choreographic performance that undergoes new forms of movement.
The on stage performance is observed standing up without any assigned seats.
