Violin, accordion, guitar, drums and toy instruments are played by the folk-pop musician, songwriter and visual artist Maïa Vidal, whose artistic universe is a blend of sounds and influences.
After the release of her first two albums, the young artist from California currently living in Europe is coming back with an electro-duet – a mix of electronic drums and digital sounds, harp and piano, accompanied by her sweet voice.
The music of Vidal (California, USA, 1988) reveals her background, as she was born in America to French and German/Japanese parents, has lived in California, New York and Montreal, and is currently living in Barcelona. In her work, you can identify street music from France, naïve tunes, waltzes and lullabies, indie-rock guitars and beats of chanson française.
Alongside Giovanni Cultrera, Vidal will come onstage to present her third work, an open love letter titled You're the Waves (Crammed Discs), whose songs are played on the radio in France, Japan and USA.
