The Puerto Rican singer is one of the most recognised artists in Latin America. He made his debut as a singer at the age of 11 at the wedding of the daughter of the then President of Mexico. The performance was so successful that he was offered a record deal. This is how he embarked on his artistic career, and since then, his career has taken off since then, reaping hit after hit and becoming a Latin pop legend.
In addition to his extraordinary voice, his versatility has led him to set unprecedented records. He has moved through genres such as pop, bolero, mariachi, big band and ballads in his more than thirty albums released throughout an extensive career that began in 1981. He has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, many of which have obtained gold, platinum and diamond status. Luis Miguel is the first Latin artist to obtain two platinum-certified albums in the United States. He has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has been awarded six Grammy Awards and six Latin Grammy Awards.
This concert at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium not only marks his return to Europe, but is also a charity event organised by the Real Madrid Foundation, an institution that is present in almost a hundred countries and has nearly 100,000 beneficiaries on the five continents. In this way, part of the profits from Luis Miguel's concert in Spain will go to children and young people cared for by the Real Madrid Foundation.
