Talent and versatility are two of the qualities bestowed upon these musicians, performing together as part of the season dedicated to Luigi Boccherini. They both have an extensive professional career behind them.
El Conde Duque provides the venue for the second of the recitals dedicated to the Italian composer Luigi Boccherini. On this occasion, two Spanish musicians are combining their talents: Lina Tur Bonet, violinist, and Dani Espasa, pianist, accordionist and harpsichord player. The programme features music by Mozart - Sonatas K. 301 and 304 for violin and harpsichord - and Boccherini - Sonatas no.4 G.28 and no. G.29, for harpsichord and violin.
The violinist Lina Tur Bonet, originally from Ibiza, combines romantic and baroque music in her violin repertoire. Over the course of her career she has particularly favoured Bach's chamber music and the recovery of pieces by composers such as Boccherini and Brunetti. She has also taken part in recordings for labels such as Deutsche Grammophon, Naïve, and Virgin.
Dani Espasa is a multidisciplinary musician: conductor, pianist, accordionist, harpsichordist... In his career he has produced and composed music for Lídia Pujol, and has been a conductor, pianist and accordionist for María del Mar Bonet. He has conducted the contemporary music group Bcn216 and he currently heads up Vespres d’Arnadí. Since 2003, he has been a pianist and harpsichord player for the Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya.
