In this concert organised by the Ibermúsica Foundation, the ensemble specialised in Baroque music, Les Arts Florissants, will perform Georg Friedrich Händel’s well-known work, Messiah, one of the greatest Baroque pieces.
This concert will be conducted by the orchestra director and harpsichord player, William Christie, who is considered to be one of the leading experts in the Baroque repertoire and founder of Les Arts Florissants in 1979.
Les Arts Florissants is an ensemble devoted to the performance of Baroque music with original instruments. Pioneer in the resurgence of the French Baroque repertoire, on which it focused during its early years, more recently it has worked with Monteverdi`s music conducted by Paul Agnew.
