Founded in 1969, King Crimson soon became known as one of the pioneers of progressive rock, a pillar of this musical genre and fundamental in spreading its popularity in the musical world. Although not widely supported by the media, they have tens of thousands of fans throughout the world.
Through the years they have adapted to new sounds and improved their skill to offer effective instrumental arrangements that hugely influenced many musicians in the last century.
This group has had many ups and downs, and they have even temporarily split up on three occasions. In total, Robert Fripp, Jakko Jakszyk, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison, Mel Collins and Bill Rieflin have been together for twenty years, since they first formed back in the late 60s.
They still retain their traditional spirit, and since their most recent comeback, in 2014, they seem to have recaptured their youth and are just as energetic as they ever were.
