The German tenor, who has just released an album devoted to Puccini, will once more appear on the Madrid stage to take part in the Voces del Real cycle. He will be accompanied on the piano by Helmut Deutsch from Austria.
His powerful voice, his extensive vocal range and his amazing stage presence mean that the world’s leading opera halls want to include him in their programmes. The German tenor, Jonas Kaufmann (Munich, Germany, 1969), has become one of the most relevant voices of bel canto in the past decade.
Kaufmann comes to the Madrid theatre after releasing his latest album, Nessun dorma (Sony Classical), devoted to the Italian composer, Giacomo Puccini. It includes a selection of arias taken from the most important operas: Turandot, Manon Lescaut, Tosca, La Bohème, Madame Butterfly and La fanciulla del West.
The German tenor will be accompanied in this recital by the Austrian pianist, Helmut Deutsch and will take place the performance of works by Gustav Mahler, Richard Strauss and Benjamin Britten.
