Magical Ride (like the game) is the name chosen by the Swedish band Jetbone as the title for their new album. The group's influences range from southern rock to funk and soul, and they are one of the most influential rock bands on the Swedish music scene today.
When they first started out, as youngsters who just liked making music, they were called Degeneration. But when they started playing gigs they had to change their name in order to create a unique product that was only related with them, and to avoid misunderstandings when pronouncing their name.
Since the band first got together in 2008, their line-up has changed a great deal, a factor that has endowed them with character and forced them to learn quickly. Currently, Jetbone is made up of Alin Riabouchkin (vocals and guitar), Gustav Gurten Sjödin (vocals and bass), Sebastian Engberg (lead guitar), Tobias Bengtsson (piano and organs) and Albin Linder (drums).
So far they have released two albums: Jetbone in 2012 and Magical Ride in 2015. Their work has brought fresh and urgent sounds onto the Swedish music scene, examples of which include Dancin' on your Grave and Baby it's your Time, leading them to tour throughout Scandinavia and elsewhere in Europe.
