Matadero Madrid hosts the second edition of the International Christmas Fair of Cultures. With the collaboration of the embassies from 75 countries and diverse international institutions, the Navideña reveals the different ways of celebrating Christmas around the world. To do so, it has a programme that includes over 250 activities and 75 stands.
The Navideña turns Matadero Madrid into a magical space for adults and children alike, where they can dance, sing, play, buy handicrafts or taste the Christmas cuisine from different countries of the world. Music plays an important role in this programme which opens on the 15th with a concert by the Muncipal Symphonic Band, alongside the artists, Rayden and Alana. In this musical programme, there is no lack of a carol cycle with over 20 concerts. These activities include the 1000 Voices of Malagasy Gospel charity event, a double concert in the Caja Mágica (17th and 18th Dec) in which 22 girls from Ankalika, one of the poorest neighbourhoods of Tulear (Madagascar) join forces with around thirty choirs from different parts of the peninsula to form a choir of one thousand children and teenagers.
Other stars of the Navideña are the children who can enjoy over 60 free activities. Theatre, storytelling, films, crafts workshops, traditional dances or martial arts can be seen and enjoyed over the nine days that this International Christmas Fair of Cultures lasts.
