The Argentine counter tenor will be accompanied and guided at this concert by conductor Maxim Emelyanychev. The recital will include pieces by Domenico Sarro, Nicola Antonio Porpora, one of his most important performances, Johann Adolph Hasse and Giovani Battista Pergolesi.
Franco Fagioli (Provincia de Tucumán, Argentina, 1981) started taking piano lessons at a very young age at the Tucumán Institute of Music, and then went on to train as a singer, specialising over the years to become a world-class counter tenor. His big moment came when he won the 10th edition of the “Neu Stimmen” International Singing Contest held by the Bertelsmann Foundation.
In 2005 he played the lead in Haendel's, Giulio Cesare, at the Zurich Opera House, a role that earned him great reviews, praising his role and performance. He has regularly performed in various productions and events at the Norwegian National Opera House, the Finnish National Opera House, and the Haendel Festival in Karlsruhe.
