Toad in love/The Mayor and the Miller’s Wife makes up a double bill for all the family which revives two of the most important pantomimes of Spanish theatre.
Written by Tomás Borrás, Toad realises that he can feel something strange in his chest. He asks his friends what could be wrong with him and they reply that it is love. That is when Toad tells himself that he has fallen in love with Pata.Meanwhile, The Mayor and the Miller’s Wife tells the story of a couple that lives on the outskirts of an Andalusian town. The Mayor becomes infatuated with the Miller’s wife and orders his arrest so that he can enter his house at night. He escapes from the guards, however, and arrives in time to discover the official’s malicious intentions.
