On the occasion of their 30th anniversary, the British dance company New Adventures are bringing to Spain Early Adventures, which brings back to stage the two works that launched Bourne’s career, namely, The Infernal Galop and Town & Country.
Matthew Bourne (Waltham Forest, UK, 1960) is widely hailed as the UK's most popular and successful choreographer and director. His new show, produced with the Arts Council England support, is dazzlingly original in terms of both staging and dancing styles.
The Infernal Galop is a portrait of traditional France from a conservative English look. A succession of striking and humorous vignettes drawing inspiration from such French icons as Edith Piaf, Charles Trenet or Tino Rossi. Town & Country is a British music collage, put together to evoke Britain’s artistic legacy.
