The new season at the Teatro de la Zarzuela presents its musical programme Desconcierto. A beautiful lyrical show performed by actor Joaquín Notario and singer Rocío Márquez accompanied by pianist Rosa Torres-Pardo.
This concert offers a perfect symbiosis between poetry and Spanish classical music with the fusion of some of the best poems by Spanish literature professor and literary critic Luis García Montero, and various compositions by great Spanish composers and authors such as Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz, Enrique Granados, Joaquín Turina Pérez and Federico García Lorca.
Rocío Márquez (Huelva, Spain, 1985) won the Lámpara Minera Award at the Cante de las Minas de la Unión Flamenco Festival in 2008, and four first prizes, equalling the record set by Miguel Poveda. The artist has carved out a solid career on the flamenco scene, lined with success.
