The China National Traditional Orchestra (CNTO) recreates the music of the Bayu culture from the city of Chongqing. Under the baton of Shimin Wang, they’ll be offering a concert at Teatro Nuevo Apolo on 14 November.
Supported by China’s Ministry of Culture, CNTO has performed in Europe, America, Australia and Africa, promoting a larger view of Chinese culture in general and the Chinese musical heritage in particular.
The world-renowned orchestra comprises a choir and plays a number of traditional instruments, like the Er-Hu, the Zheng, the Yang-Qin, the Pipa or the Yueqin, to offer unique, exotic shows.
