Carlos Núñez is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of his debut album, A Irmandade das Estrelas, with a concert in the context of Inverfest 2017. Núñez will come on stage with some of the other artists in Carlos Saura’s latest film, Jota de Saura.
Musicians Enrike Solinís, Giovanni Sollima, Juan Manuel Cañizares and Ara Malikian, and dancer Sara Baras will all embark on this sound trip from the landscapes of Galicia, Ireland, Scotland or Brittany to Madrid. Besides, the concert, included in the Madrid winter festival Inverfest 2017, will include sounds from all musical traditions in the Iberian Peninsula.
Carlos Núñez (Vigo, Pontevedra, 1971) is deemed as one of the best pipers in the world. An expert in Celtic music, he has released a dozen albums. In addition, he has collaborated with the soundtracks of films such as Gorō Miyazaki’s Tales from Earthsea or Alejandro Amenábar’s The Sea Inside, and with the music of shows like Le Secret de la Lance, for the French historical theme park Puy du Fou.
