Bob Margolin is one of the most veteran Chicago Blues guitarists around, and he is returning to Madrid to present his latest studio album, My Road. This record captures the mischievous and insightful side of a veteran blues musician.
Margolin has a long musical career behind him. First as a member of the Muddy Waters Blues Band from 1973 to 1980, one of the bands that created the Chicago Blues sound, and then five decades on stage playing with the best blues bands in the world. This has made him a master of this musical style, which was so popular in the 60s. Indeed, he has won some of the biggest blues awards around, including the “Blues Music Award” for best guitarist in 2008, and for best unplugged album in 2012.
Having been involved in projects with blues legends such as Hubert Sumlin, Pinetop Perkins and Calvin Jones, he is now presenting a new album, My Road, a record that shows his more personal side. Furthermore, on this occasion, as in his previous tours of Spain, he will be accompanied by Tota Blues from Barcelona and by the guitarist and director of the Madrid Blues School José Luis Pardo and his band.
