Andalucía Flamenca, sponsored by the Andalusian Flamenco Institute and the National Centre for the Dissemination of Music, is back with a programme whose creative formula includes the most innovative and the most traditional flamenco styles.
The flamenco season, comprising eight concerts, will draw the best artists: singers La Cañeta and Cancanilla de Málaga, pianist and composer from Cádiz Manolo Carrasco, pianist Dorantes and singer Marina Heredia, singer El Cabrero, José Enrique Morente and Juan Habichuela Nieto, singer Argentina and Rocío Márquez and, for the closing concert at the Symphony Concert Hall, Arcángel along with Miguel Poveda, Estrella Morente and Manolo Sanlúcar.
Since it was launched in 2008, Andalucía Flamenca has pursued the goal of strengthening this music genre in Madrid. And it seems that it’s succeeded, for all concerts in the upcoming season (including the closing show) are sold out.
