Ottavio Dantone’s Accademia Bizantina will perform a selection of works by the Italian composer, violinist and organist, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, at the National Music Auditorium, highlighting Salve Regina and Stabat Mater.
On this occasion, the Italian string instrument group will perform the score as part of the Baroque Universe Cycle. The musician, Ottavio Dantone (Ceriñola, Italy, 1960) will be responsible for conducting two figures from historic Italian song: the soprano, Silvia Frigato, and the contralto, Sara Mingardo, will offer their voices to the cause.
