100 kilometres in 24 hours consists of a non-competitive event, in which participants must travel 100 kilometres on foot within a maximum period of 24 hours. Each participant decides to rise to the challenge individually or as part of a group, opting for a fast pace and resting or continuing with the race and taking short rests.
The race offers five modalities: 100 kilometres in 24 hours individual (one person completes the whole route); 100 kilometres in 24 hours relay (a team of 2 or 3 participants complete the route); 34 kilometres individual; 100 kilometres in 10 hours by bicycle and the Duatlon, combining bicycle and running within the framework of the 100 kilometres.
Starting off and finishing at the Ciudad Deportiva Juan Antonio Samaranch in Colmenar Viejo, the route will pass through Manzanares el Real and the countryside of Cuenca Alta del Manzanares, Tres Cantos and San Sebastián de los Reyes.
