The Teatro de la Luz Philips first opened its doors in 1944 as a cinema called Cine Gran Vía and took its first steps as a theatre from 1947 to 1950. Since then thousands of plays and films have been enjoyed in this theatre, making it a key cultural venue on the “Broadway of Madrid”.
