Located near Paseo de Recoletos, this palace was commissioned in 1872 to architect Francisco de Cubas, Marquee of Cubas, by Mr López Dóriga, in order to make it his residence. Its architectural composition is similar to that of the adjacent palace of the Marquee of Alcañices, with a basement and ground, main and upper floors. It also reflects his inclination towards order and symmetry in the organisation of the spaces and balconies on the façade. The outer decoration is simpler, however, summarised by window mouldings and friezes, placed longitudinally on both sides of the main-floor balconies.
