Intermediæ is a space for the production of artistic projects based on experimentation and shared learning, whose aim is to reinforce cultural production in Madrid via dialogue on the local and global levels.
The programme consists of projects selected from those presented in applications for the grants for creative work awarded by the Madrid City Council Arts Department and other projects which link creative artists, spaces, networks, experiments and practical initiatives by exploring shared approaches.
In Intermediae research is carried out into new ways of involving different audiences in the world of art and culture. Creation is understood as shared learning and experimentation as a form of involvement in cultural production, while community work and social innovation are common to most of the projects.
