The gallery was founded by Elvira González in February 1994 and specialises in 20th and 21st century art, especially in European and American art from the second half of the 20th century and on the work of contemporary artists.
Elvira González has held important exhibitions such as Rothko in 1995, Picasso and Women in 1996 and Alexander Calder in 2011, amongst many more.
The work of creators such as Miquel Barceló, Olafur Eliasson, Robert Irwin Chema Madoz and Robert Mapplethorpe form part of the gallery.
The gallery has very close relationships with the most important art institutions in the world and makes sales and commercial loans of pieces of art with them. The Reina Sofía National Museum in Madrid, the Georges Pompidou Centre in Paris and the Toyota Municipal Museum in Japan are some examples.
