The ABC Building, home to the well-known newspaper and Blanco y Negro magazine, is composed of an older building from 1899 on Calle Serrano, work of José López Sallaberry and an extension on Paseo de la Castellana, a project by Aníbal González Álvarez and Teodoro Anasagasti, constructed in 1926, in response to the need to start printing the magazine.
López Sallaberry designed a neo-plateresque façade in harmony with the surrounding residential area, which gives no clue of the industrial nature of the building, whose ground floor is organised around a machinery room with a gallery to allow vehicles to circulate inside. This building also housed the printing workshops and the administrative offices, with the back part being home to the machinery. The building on Castellana is typical of Aníbal González's work, in regional Sevillian style. Some years ago it ceased to be the headquarters of ABC Newspaper and was remodelled to become a Shopping mall.
