Subiendo al Sur was born in 1997 with the commendable goal of helping develop production industries in Third World countries. It is a space where fair trade is presented as an effective alternative for the development of production industries in the most underprivileged regions.
The store features a multifunctional space divided into a restaurant, a catering service and a shop for specialized products from the south of the planet. All benefits are destined to non-profit organizations working in these areas.
Amongst the items they sell one can find craftwork and clothes made in Latin America and Africa, authentic coffee from Nicaragua, Colombia and México, chocolate from Bolivia and Ghana and Liberación de Cuba rum. They also offer a wide range of products made in Spain by groups in social rehabilitation programs.
