This FNAC space is located in the AZCA Shopping Centre, one of the most modern and busiest malls in Madrid, right in the heart of Paseo de la Castellana. The Féderation Nationale d’Achat des Cadres (Fnac) was created in 1954 by two friends, André Essel and Max Théret, and it has been working for over 50 years, bringing culture to as many people as possible. In 1993, Fnac launched in Spain, opening its first store in Madrid, in Plaza de Callao. It then went to Barcelona, Valencia, Zaragoza…
At Fnac, you can buy tickets for major shows and leading cultural activities: concerts, theatre performances, museums, leisure parks, art exhibitions… The music section offers everything that’s hot right now, as well as a whole host of albums, compilations, singles, etc., arranged and classified by genre (pop, rock, classical, jazz, heavy…) and artist (solo performers, groups). They also stock DVDs of concerts, documentaries, etc. But FNAC is above all known as a book shop where you can find all the latest on the market, as well as a vast selection of books. Its reading corner is very popular, as you can read whilst listening to music, particularly classical pieces. It opens every day including Sundays.
