The Antigua Pastelería del Pozo, a stone throw’s from Sol, continues to make handmade pastries just like they did back in 1830. Customers can enjoy puff pastry sheets filled with cream or cabello de ángel pumpkin jam.
The establishment has undergone many changes over the years, yet still keeps its original furniture, notably its marble and wood counter, the old cash register and some old-fashioned scales.
It is famous for its ring-shaped “Roscones de Reyes”, Cádiz marzipan, turrón, puff pastries, and much more. Located at number 6 Calle del Pozo, the shop not only takes its name from this street but also from a miraculous well filled with the relics of saints, believed to have been in this very area.
