The bar advertises "miniature haute cuisine," and that's exactly what they offer. Located in La Latina, a traditional tapas district, Txirimiri offers Basque style tapas: creative snacks that are neither boring nor traditional and always focus on a perfect combination of flavours, textures and smells.
We recommend the pork maw, the foie cooked in Pedro Ximénez and the duck confit. The wine list is also highly commendable, with a range of wines that go perfectly with tapas. Customers come here for snacks, so don't expect to sit down. On Sundays, even getting in is a chore, but that should be expected of a traditional, small venue as popular as this one. There's always a lot of hustle and bustle in genuine tapas bars.
