Magerit is the name used to refer to Madrid during the Muslim occupation of the Iberian peninsula but, although this might suggest that it is a restaurant featuring Arabic cuisine, in fact it serves calamari sandwiches and traditional Madrid tapas, such as potato omelette and grilled pig's ears. It enjoys a privileged location, as it is under the colonnade in Plaza Mayor, one of the busiest parts of the city.
