Established in 1995 by Joaquín Sabina and his friend, Julio Sánchez, La Mordida takes the diner to the most colourful and tasty Mexico, with the decor by a Mexican-Spanish team, which does not skimp on the gastronomic details of the Aztec country, flaming tones and various murals.
In La Mordida you will learn that not every stereotype is true. Not all Mexican food will necessarily be spicy. The appealing colours on the walls also appear on the table, where customers get usually surprised by an unexpected explosion of taste.
With a menu designed by Honorio Vaquero and prepared by Mexican chefs specialised in Mexico’s traditional cuisine, the basic dishes are a must: frijoles, chilaquiles, enchiladas, or the ever-present guacamole. They have kept the most traditional way of cooking and, of course, the unmistakable Mexican taste, you can't miss the dishes which are the basis of the Mexican diet: frijoles, chilaquiles, enchiladas or the indispensable guacamole. Also, it is almost compulsory to taste one of the many original beers they offer. And last, but not least, they have delicious desserts, all of them homemade, like mango or lemon pies or a tasty cheese cake, as well as great cocktails prepared by these experts: Margarita, Tequipiña, Daiquiri, Burrabaga...
