As it has been doing for over 100 years, La Casa del Abuelo continues to serve its famous prawns in a variety of guises, with garlic, served in ceramic dishes, sizzling with garlic, oil and parsley, griddled to perfection and served with coarse salt, in pastry and on skewers, always accompanied of course by "El Abuelo" sweet wine or our Toro wine.
There are currently three branches of La Casa del Abuelo: this one is the oldest, at No. 12 Calle Victoria. The second is at No. 5, Calle Núñez de Arce (both in the Sol district), and the third is at No. 57 Calle Goya and has a terrace area. In these latter two, as well as prawns, they also serve over 30 traditional tapas from Madrid.
