La Camarilla's slogan is "Banning is forbidden". The consequence is that everybody eats wherever they feel like as long as there is enough space, obviously. That means that you can have tapas or order something from the menu regardless of whether you have it at the bar or sitting at a table.
This gives the impression of a very informal restaurant for people of all kinds. On the bar you will see an display of different 'pinchos' -small bites- such as vegetable skewers, shrimps in paprika tempura, home-made cured ham croquettes and tuna pasties. They offer 'tostas' like the one with cabrales cheese in cider, and stews like the potato and Iberian sirloin one or the traditional 'callos a la madrileña' -stewed tripe Madrilenian style.
On the menu you will find different options, like creamy rice with boletus edulis, cream of courgette with grated parmesan snow and the oriental bastela. They also have classics: magret of duck, veal entrecote and Iberian pork cheek. A light and modern place with a good ambience. Pleasant staff. A perfect place for good wine, good food and chatting with friends.
