A place that is open to cultural ideas of all kinds. That is La Buga del Lobo, located in the heart of the Lavapiés district, which reflects the philosophy of the place: ‘the sun comes out for everyone’. Its most Castilian style is to be found in the restaurant menu, as they are specialists in seasonal wild mushrooms and young wines from Castilla y León. Homemade croquettes, grilled vegetables and a board of cold meats are some ideas to start with. A large selection of salads and carpaccios to choose from.
And another option: eggs a la Soriana or eggs caribeños. Secreto ibérico is one of the meats on the menu while their filets of cod with sundried tomatoes and mango foam are a well-known secret. The star of the desserts is the tiramisu.
Its most tropical side is to be found on the walls that decorate the two floors of the premises (done by the painter Camuñas) and the name of the place itself - Buga, in nostalgic memory of an old hotel in Guatemala, that has now disappeared. The Carribean can also be seen in its cocktails: Mojito, Caipirinha, Daiquiri, Margarita, etc.
