Since 1990, Hotel Tryp Ambassador is housed in the former Palace of the Dukes of Ega, dominating the slope of Santo Domingo. This four-star giant in the city centre has been able to maintain the unique structure and flavor of the historic building so as to not break the typically Madrilenian aesthetics of the neighboring Gran Vía.
Inside the hotel, its restaurant is reminiscent of a greenhouse filled with tropical plants, and it even hosts animal species: an exotic parrot flies around the space, entertaining the 60 customers who can occupy the dining area. Particularly noteworthy is the attention given on its menu to Castilian cuisine with plenty of popular Madrilenian recipes. Thanks to them, El Invernadero is a good referent for those who wish to try traditional dishes from the region at affordable prices.
