Some say this is the best Italian in town, though it’s a question of taste. In any case, there’s no doubt it’s up there with the best of them. The restaurant, small and cosy with a romantic atmosphere, is located near the Chueca neighbourhood. The set lunchtime menu is a good bet, although the à la carte option promises Italian-style fine dining. The salads are delicious, drizzled with balsamic vinegar and top-quality olive oil. Portions are generous and suitable for sharing. The restaurant does a magnificent vitello tonnato (fine slices of stewed veal with tuna sauce). The tiramisu is fabulous and the risottos are also pretty impressive. However, the pièce de résistance has to be the foie gras and the pastas (dry or fresh) with white or black truffle sauce and courgette flowers.
Open: Mon 9:00pm-12:00am / Tue-Sat 1:00pm-4:00pm; 9:00pm-12:00am.
