Casa Rúa’s star dish is fried calamari sandwich. Clients often queue up for one of these traditional Madrilenian bites, as the place is small but well-known for its great value for money.
In addition to calamari, other fillings are available: pork belly, chorizo sausage, blood pudding sausage or cheese; also other dishes, such as potato dice in spicy tomato sauce, very popular too. As for its location, Casa Rúa is on a street next to the Plaza Mayor and is spread over two floors: the ground floor holds the bar and the top floor holds several tables for a sit-down meal.
