This new space reserved for quality tapas is based in the same venue which formerly was home to the centenary Casa Aroca, and it’s managed by Ricardo Algazi - owner of La Turuleta restaurant.
The interior of Aroca XI has the privilege of preserving part of the Arab and Christian walls, combined thanks to simple minimalist decoration. This merger of different ages is also present in the kitchen. Its dishes are prepared with traditional ingredients but with new cooking techniques and presentations. Its designer tapas boast gems such as salmorejo with European anchovies, Aroca prawns, “baby” broad beans with sautéed cuttlefish and fresh foie lascas, scrambled blood sausage with potato purée and fried egg or pig and veal shawarma brochette served in pita bread.
