ARCO 2010 

A new edition of ARCOmadrid, the most eagerly awaited event of the year for gallery owners, collectors, art lovers and professionals fis set to take place from February 17 to 21. This year's great novelty is the presence of the city of Los Angeles as the guest of honour. This International Contemporary Art Fair, however, is not the only artistic event Madrid is hosting these days. Contemporary and up-and-coming art lovers must make sure they don't miss out on Art Madrid, Dearte and Just Madrid.

The Opéra National de Paris brings to life the four-act historical drama composed by Umberto Giordano (1967-1948), one of the most renowned exponents of the verismo style. Giancarlo del Monaco's stage direction lends a cinematographic touch to the tragic story of the French poet who was guillotined during the French Revolution. In the pit, Víctor Pablo Pérez, one of our best conductors, will once again prove his ability and versatility. Accompanied by the Teatro Real Orchestra and Choir, the production will feature sopranos Fiorenza Cedolins and Daniel Dessì, tenors Marcelo Álvarez and Fabio Armiliato and baritones Marco Vratonga and Roberto Frontali. February 13 to 28.
